Schools
We are home to three schools: one public high school, one public elementary school, and one private k-8 school. Located on 27th Street, Mountain View High School is one of Bend’s four comprehensive high schools. The MVHS Cougars offer many early college dual credit programs where students can earn both high school and college credit, as well as Advanced Placement classes. Ensworth Elementary is a small neighborhood school with a student population around 250 and families enjoy being able to walk and bike to this school located on Daggett Lane. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School is also located on 27th Street and offers education for pre-K - 8th grade students. Additionally Eastmont Community School, a private Christian pre-K - 5th grade school, is within MVND borders. The Cottage Day Care offers care for children aged 30 months through age eight, and there are many in-home daycares sprinkled throughout our neighborhood, as well.

Adjacent to the MVND boundaries are Trinity Lutheran School, a pre-K-12th grade school, and two public schools: Buckingham Elementaryand Pilot Butte Middle School. The Baker Academy and the Oregon Family School are also near the MVND boundaries.
REtail Centers
Mountain View is also home to the Forum Shopping Center where neighbors can visit Safeway, Whole Foods, Costco, Old Navy, Barnes and Noble, and Office Max, among other retail options and eateries.
There are many places in the neighborhood for residents to dine, among them some of the long-standing Bend establishments’ eastside locations: Baldy’s Barbeque and Hola!. Worthy Brewing offers food and local beer along with live music shows, an observatory, and a pollinator garden. Two food cart lots, River’s Place and On Tap, have a variety of food options and live music events, too.
In addition, there are other gathering places throughout MVND.
