City of Bend Discusses Proposed Budget Cuts

​Due to COVID-19 related closures and economic impacts, the City of Bend anticipates a revenue shortfall this 2019-21 biennium between $7 million and $14.5 million.

“The City’s revenues come from people in Bend and visitors, and our region has experienced high unemployment, a drop in tourism and business closures,” said City Manager Eric King.

Full Closure Coming to NE Purcell Blvd and NE Butler Market Beginning Monday, May 3rd -September

  • The intersection at NE Purcell Blvd and NE Butler Market Road will be closed for roundabout construction beginning Monday, May 3rd.
    • There will be no access allowed for vehicles, bicycles or pedestrians during construction.
  • Modernization of NE Purcell Blvd between NE Butler Market Road and the NUID canal (May 3rd-September).
    • This section of roadway will be open to local traffic only.
